Shooting for the Double-Up in the Undercover Dragster

Kohrt Racing took aim at a double-up in Julesburg Dragstrip over the weekend competing with 150+ sum other competitors in multiple categories to chase the famed ‘Wally’ and what would eventually potentially look like a double-up.

Coming into the Saturday Box category. The Undercover Dragster was running strong and after a quick rip through the valves and a new oil change with our friends at Red Line Oil, the dragster was ready for competition.

Averaging a .020 light over the entire weekend, the dragster would go 11-1 en route to a win on Saturday and a runner-up finish on Sunday. Wally Sunday was even more locked in, ripping the tree to the tune of a .010 avg light over eight-rounds and double-00 in 50% of the laps down the track. Over the weekend, we found our groove on the line leaving first off the top against the opponent in 11 of the 12 times with maybe the most likeable stat, no red lights!

In the end we collected the race win on Saturday but no dice on Sunday’s Wally race in the final as the clumsy driver took 4-thou too much stripe to break out! We’ll get them next time and certainly no shame in a strong finish over the weekend.
